Great News! Rusty Wilson, Project Manager in New Orleans, has recently passed the Commercial Contractors License testing for the State of Louisiana. This achievement is a very significant achievement for our project work in New Orleans as we now have staff credentialed with Residential and Commercial Contractor Licensing. Congratulations Rusty!
Beginning in October of 2006 we commenced new home construction in the Central City area of New Orleans along with ongoing remodeling of homes that CrossRoads Missions teams have previously gutted in Chalmette.
In May 2007, we transitioned from gutting out homes to rebuilding and restoring homes. It is our plan to construct 33 homes over the next 30 months!
We are also engaged in Street Cleaning which functions as a great outreach to these areas.
As you can imagine -- this will take a lot of folks serving as the "hands and feet of Jesus" to accomplish. There is a great need for anyone willing to work hard and for those who have experience in all areas of construction, professional and non-professional. Please join us in serving the people of New Orleans in the name of Christ, contact us if you can help!

In our desire to meet the needs of the people affected by Hurricane Katrina's devastating blow to the United States Gulf Coast region we have transitioned from various forms of cleanup to rebuilding and restoring lives and homes in the Central City Area of New Orleans. Through serving those devastated and misplaced by this terrible storm we hope to live out Christ's example of service by demonstrating His love for mankind through our actions, words, and lives.
CrossRoads Missions has formed a working partnership with Jericho Road, an Episcopal Housing Initiative and Reconcile New Orleans for the purpose of bringing relief and restoration to the New Orleans area.
In an effort to assist Journey Christian Church in planting churches within the New Orleans region we will strategically identify areas where we will concentrate our relief and rebuilding efforts. Our goal is to provide service opportunities for thousands of short-term mission team members so they can be the Body of Christ in action. We hope to show these communities the love of the Father through the lives and actions of His children. Our hope is that through the lives of the volunteers offering relief, that many people will come to know Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior.
