CrossRoads Missions and the Maytown Center have partnered to improve the standard of living, raise expectations, and find hope in the grace of Christ for families in Eastern Kentucky.

While serving in Maytown, participants have opportunities to build relationships with members of the community through the development and implementation of community activities and assisting in new home construction, renovations and remodeling.

“Shine like stars Kentucky … “ is part of the motto for the Maytown Center. Eastern Kentucky is a place “Where the sun comes up about ten in the morning; and the sun goes down about three in the day”. For many people, darkness is a part of life in the mountains. The region has a dark history full of drug and alcohol abuse, difficult economic situations and dependency on government aid.

The Maytown Center is a source of light amongst the darkness. The Maytown Center desires to help people set and pursue goals, develop talents and offer positive opportunities to volunteer. After school programs, day trips, service projects, GED classes, and drug intervention/prevention programs all exist at the Center.
