MISSION TRIPS
Piedras Negras Mexico

CrossRoads Missions Mexico intends to transform the city of Piedras Negras, Mexico, with the love and compassion of Christ by working alongside, and empowering, already-existing ministries. We provide encouragement, home ownership opportunities, Christian education, medical clinics, and youth programming.

More about Piedras Negras

Located at the northern border of the state of Coahuila in Mexico, Piedras Negras sits across the Rio Grande from Eagle Pass, Texas, and is about 150 miles southwest of San Antonio. The city’s population is approximately 250,000 and continues to grow. Due to its border location, the city is significantly influenced by the U.S. in areas such as religion, media, and even language.

CrossRoads Missions has been serving in Piedras Negras for more than a quarter-century. One of the cornerstones of our work there is building the neighborhood of Piedra Angular, where we have constructed nearly 40 homes intended for families that have committed to missional living.

A couple of times each year, we schedule special medical mission trips. Assisted by translators and local clergy, our medical teams set up clinics in the outlying areas of the community, where health care services are limited or absent. The medical clinics are based on Biblical holistic medical care and focus to build up disadvantaged individuals and communities by incorporating health care, evangelism, medicine, and health education into their daily lifestyles. Each medical mission needs a team of doctors, nurses, and students to conduct clinics in these communities. It is a great hands-on To ‘experience for all involved. Non-medical participants are also needed to support the medical team on the field. For more information on our medical missions, contact Tim Anderson at tim@crossroadsmissions.com.
