At CrossRoads Missions, we believe in providing service opportunities for everyone: all ages, backgrounds, and locations. Maybe you want to serve, but don’t have the time to commit to a full week. Maybe you have family or job responsibilities that require you to stay close to home. Whatever your situation, CrossRoads Missions offers several opportunities for you to serve at home, through one of our one-day trips.
LocalLouisville – Working with local churches as well as the Fuller Center for Housing, our volunteers and full-time staff seek to transform and renovate damaged and abandoned homes in the city, with the goal of making those homes available to individuals and families who wish to become part of our Missional Living Program.
Help Build Hope – Help Build Hope brings a building project to you. In the parking lot of your very own church, you and your friends, family, and fellow volunteers construct the frame, walls for a new home, for a family in need. Help Build Hope offers these events across the country.
CrossRoads Missions offers these events to any of the following:
- Local churches
- Small groups (school clubs, sports teams, etc.)
- Civic groups
All LocalLouisville and Help Build Hope events are overseen by our skilled team leaders. Construction expertise is not a requirement to participate. Participants of all ages are welcome, but LocalLouisville requires any volunteers under the age of 16 to be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or chaperone. For Help Build Hope events, we recommend 80 to 120 participants for every set of frame walls.
